OCTOBER 2021 |
FROM THE DIRECTOR'S DESK | Lucero Ruiz, Creative Director
Q4 is here. Let’s make sure our seatbelts are on and prepared for take-off: It’s our busiest time of the year. Creative team’s let’s make sure to dot our Is cross our Ts. Let’s over communicate and collaborate to make this Q4 a breeze!
Copy has been a man down; we miss our fearless leader on the field :( Thank you, team, for stepping up during his absence! We could not do it without ya!
Production is losing a few key members, though it’s always sad to part, we wish the best of luck in their future endeavors.
The art team is finally fully staffed. We request your patience, as we get our new designers up to speed!

TRAFFIC RADAR | Sara Goodfellow, Traffic Manager
Keep a lookout for the Need More Info being used and get those requests back ASAP to the creative team! This way we can keep things moving smoothly and timely. NOTE if you do not respond to these by 3pm the day sent, your request will be pushed back 1 day to accommodate (and so on if not answered/returned the following day). The best way to avoid this extra time is as always... fill out as MUCH information as possible on all creative tasks. We appreciate every effort!

THE WRITERS' ROOM | Mark Allison, Senior Creative Architect
It’s been a fun time in our department! We’ve been working hard to take our clients to the next level with new creative for Arrigo and the Morgan BMW stores in Tampa. Really looking forward to seeing what gets picked! We’ve also been able to branch out and work with clients outside of automotive like Starkey Hearing Aids. Also, shoutout to Bill Cross for tackling product description scripts for SecuriTech180.

THE CUTTING ROOM FLOOR | Adam Anderson, Video Director
Getting into the thick of Q4 with a lot of spec being picked up! The team is wrapping up a lot of their goals by pushing the boundaries of their applications and creating team tutorials. As Lu mentioned, we are losing some key players, but the rest of the team is taking charge with high-end creative, new techniques, and training. Miguel is building VFX training, Justin is creating his college-level masterclass in audio, and Dakota is building a New Editor Toolkit along with typography training. Keep an eye out as we complete our A-Net page with these and other Production resources.
Internally we’re creating a few new initiatives for backing up our projects in anticipation of onboarding new talent!

ALL ABOUT THAT ART LIFE | Duane Grant, Art Director
Just in time for Q4 art is excited to work with the 5 new designers who were added to the team in early October. These 5 talented individuals are a fantastic addition to the team and I am eager to see them grow with us at Affinitiv Advertising.
Our 2022 Q1 initial spec design process went smoothly thanks to an improved review process and we are on track to completing the remaining assets. We will continue to refine the process each quarter as we create new creative to blow the competition away.

THE DIGITAL PERSPECTIVE | Jeff Roskow, Project Manager
Last stretch of the year is here and coming in hot! Art and Code teams doing their best to keep up with high task counts pouring in not only from events and incentives, but also new dealers joining groups! Good problem to have so we are not complaining 😊 Art has the new crew joining in and training up to soon help out and keep things going smooth! Communication is key to keeping important projects and campaigns moving timely for everyone.

BEYOND THE LENS | Patrick Mahoney, Sr. Videographer
The film team has been busy with shoots. Lately we have had the opportunity to get back on location and film some fun creative. We are also looking forward to a few projects that are in the works for clients we have not had a chance to film for yet. We are currently prepping for a potential Man on the Street style pitch. And looking forward to capturing more client testimonials for Affinitiv down in Texas.
