As you’re probably aware, there is a proposal to allow a huge 500-acre gravel pit in the Richland area. There’s a chance that, if approved, it could expand to as much as 2,200 acres in the future.
We feel this project would cause irreparable harm to our area. Property values could decrease over an estimated $30 million and convoys of 40 to 50 dump trucks could be barreling along our roads regularly spreading dirt and dust everywhere.
