FROM THE DIRECTOR'S DESK | by Lucero Ruiz, Creative Director
I love it when our team comes together to make it happen. When the Affinitiv Marketing team reached out about a product video, several Affinitiv Advertising departments got together, and we delivered! We even casted talent and extras from our very own Account Service, Art, and Production teams.
Every step of the way was on point! From ideation, copy, pre-viz, film, and postproduction. Of course, we did have hurdles, but working with the absolute best in the industry meant we were able to work together and knock it out of the park with a splendid video to showcase Affinitiv’s Tech Video.
Check out our video below, with special guest appearances from Kelsey Blomquist, Jean-Luc Haag, Emmitt Ingram and Adam Anderson.

TRAFFIC RADAR | by Sara Goodfellow, Traffic Manager
I wanted to take this opportunity to share that I will be leaving AA come August 26th. And I want to assure everyone that GINA and JEFF (with some Lu sprinkled in there too) will do an amazing job leading the Traffic initiatives going forward! So don't fret, we are making sure that the transition goes smoothly, and the Traffic team is still here to support everyone. Ya'll are in GOOD hands.
I have truly loved working with everyone from back in the MSA days to Affinitiv and I wish you all good fortune in your futures. I have made some of the best friends working here and grown so much as a person. I will miss everyone!!!
All the BEST – Sara

THE WRITERS' ROOM | by Harriet Adams, Jr. Creative Strategist
The copy team’s at it again, working on crafting a new batch of spec for the new year! Credit spots, spring spots, football spots, funny spots – you name it, we’ve got it! So, make sure to find your favs when that hits your inbox. In addition, the team’s had several special projects floating around for Crown, Spitzer and more, so stay tuned. I’m talking puppies, pandas and promotions! OH MY!
It’s been a busy month for us so far with a larger-than-usual mid-month workload, but we’re still chugging along. To help ensure we don’t derail (or lose passengers), please make sure each task comes with detailed creative direction. The more specific, the better! For example, “Fall verbiage” vs. “Highlight how their trucks are perfect for fall activities like hayrides, hauling leaves, etc.”

THE CUTTING ROOM FLOOR | by Adam Anderson, Video Director
The Affinitiv Production Dept is riding through the end of summer and we’ve gotten bigger and better working with the film crew in our creative umbrella.
Our videographer Anthony has brought a wealth of skill, technique, and organization to the filming process. Joseph and Scott have been a HUGE help on set with setting up and directing talent. Shoots by our team have been going smoothly, with great communication and fantastic camera work. We are excited to offer our clients a professional, orderly, and pleasant shoot experience.
Our team has been churning out amazing work and they still make time to bring new techniques and training to build up the entire team’s skillsets.
Zach has produced an incredible animation training that is engaging and informative. That can be viewed here Definitely check it out!
Emmitt has continued compiling our assets to hightail, creating a server-like organization system that exponentially gets easier to navigate and access. We are picturing a system that will be usable across departments. Most recently he revamped our dealer footage spreadsheet making it easier for our creatives to find the latest footage.

BEYOND THE LENS | by Joseph Woods, Motion Graphics Artist
Hello Team! The fall weather is on its way, and while the storms are rolling in, the A-Team is finding a way to make it work!
This week, we’ve had the pleasure of working with the extremely accommodating crew of Nissan of Wesley Chapel, capturing b-roll footage of customer interactions, captivating interior and exterior views, and breathtaking aerial shots. Although the images captured are already extremely impressive, the crew is continuing to find ways to make it even better—even if it means coming back after the storm to capture sunny skies.
While our film team is composed of a diverse array of style and experience, we each have one thing in common—a desire to be the best in an industry we all love.

ALL ABOUT THAT ART LIFE | by Duane Grant, Art Director
Art had another great month and is finishing the season strong. Unfortunately, our intern Kristin Martins went back to school to complete her last semester. The internship was a great experience, and we all wish her the best. Now we have one more month to prepare for our crazy holiday season which will be the first time for some of our newer designers. I don’t want to jinx it, but I think we have the best art team we’ve ever had right now, and they are ready for anything!

THE DIGITAL PERSPECTIVE | by Jeff Roskow, Project Manager
Not a whole lot to report this month as its been pretty smooth running. We been getting pretty good amount of priority/rush requests in art and code but the teams have been staying on top of them while also making sure regular agency work is still handled on time!
Quick note when submitting Priority or Rush requests via email to the traffic team. Please make sure to specify the department in the subject to help the traffic team quickly identify which department this request will be for and which traffic member to jump on it asap! Thank you all!
